Showa Shell Sunlight Greases are based on a high quality, highly refined mineral oil and a good quality lithium soap. NLGI No. 2 grade are multi-purpose greases, suitable for the lubrication of roller and plain bearings, and automotive wheel bearings of large and small vehicles, and in various kinds of industrial machinery.  NLGI No. 0 and 1grades are generally used for chassis lubrication and in centralized grease systems. They operate within the temperature range of from **0 ℃ to ***5℃.

Features of Shell Sunlight Greases

1. Excellent oxidation stability.

Shell Sunlight Greases are blends of a highly refined base oil with a carefully selected oxidation inhibitor, and so can offer excellent thermal and oxidation stability.

2. Excellent mechanical stability.

Shell Sunlight Greases offer excellent mechanical stability because they have a very carefully selected  lithium soap. There is little change in consistency even when subject to shear under severe conditions and, even after use over long periods there is no leakage and the excellent lubrication properties are maintained.

3. Excellent Wear Resistance

Shell Sunlight Greases offer a very strong oil film and thus excellent wear resistance. Therefore, no welding occurs and lubrication properties are maintained over long periods of time.

4. Excellent water resistance

Shell Sunlight Greases have excellent water resistance, so that even if water gets in there is little variation in penetration and no grease leaks out. This also prevents ingress of foreign matter from outside and there is no softening or leakage of grease even if water gets in.

5. Excellent rust resistance

Shell Sunlight Greases have excellent rust resistance and prevent the occurrence of rust even under severe conditions.
